Rainham Steel Co Ltd, a leading UK steel stockholder, is seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join their team at the Head office in Essex.

As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of steel products to our valued customers across London and the Home Counties.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to working time regulations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before each journey, reporting any defects promptly.
  • Securely transport steel products, ensuring they are properly loaded and protected during transit.
  • Deliver goods to designated locations within agreed timeframes, maintaining excellent communication with customers.
  • Assist with loading and unloading operations as required.
  • Proactively maintain the cleanliness and condition of your assigned vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (category C+E) driving licence.
  • CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
  • Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries, preferably within the logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
