We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team at Daish's Holidays.

The working hours include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with our kitchen team concluding shifts by 8:30 PM. Breakfast shifts commence at 7 AM.

As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will be tasked with preparing high-quality meals for up to 150 guests within a standard 45-minute service window for both breakfast and dinner. You will receive thorough training in kitchen management, menu execution, and maintaining the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. You will also be part of our Daish's Training Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present dishes as directed by the Head Chef, with opportunities to create your own culinary masterpieces.
  • Collaborate on menu development, ensuring a diverse and high-quality dining experience for our guests.
  • Work alongside the Head Chef to maintain kitchen equipment and uphold service standards.
  • Mentor and train new kitchen staff members.
  • Assist with stocktaking and inventory management as needed.
  • Support daily stock replenishment efforts.
  • Maintain all necessary legislative records, including food safety logs and labeling systems, to ensure compliance during inspections.
  • Uphold company Health & Safety policies and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrate experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Manage tasks and responsibilities effectively within the role.
  • Stay informed about culinary trends and optimize kitchen processes.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, confidence, and competence in your work.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and maintain performance under pressure.
  • Embrace and promote the values of our organization.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in kitchen environments.
  • Experience in catering for a hotel operation is a plus.
