This role offers a competitive salary, along with a structured schedule of 45 hours per week, featuring a variety of shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. We pride ourselves on providing continuous employment throughout the year, ensuring stability for our staff.
As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals for our guests, catering to up to 150 individuals within a standard service window of 45 minutes for both breakfast and dinner. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you manage kitchen operations, work with established menus, and uphold the highest standards of culinary excellence, presentation, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present dishes as directed by the Head Chef, with the opportunity to create your own culinary masterpieces.
- Collaborate on menu development, ensuring a diverse and high-quality dining experience for our guests.
- Work alongside the Head Chef to maintain kitchen equipment and uphold service standards.
- Mentor and train new kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed.
- Maintain all necessary legislative records, including food safety logs and labeling systems, to ensure compliance during inspections.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety policies.
- Bring experience from a commercial kitchen setting, demonstrating the ability to manage tasks effectively.
- Stay informed about culinary trends and optimize kitchen processes for efficiency.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, confidence, and competence in your role.
