Consultant Psychiatrist

Active Care Group, a leading provider of neuro and mental healthcare services, seeks a dedicated Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist with inpatient experience to join our multidisciplinary team at Wedgewood Ward. This six-bedded Tier 4 CAMHS Eating Disorders service is part of a larger network of specialized care facilities.
Your Role:
- Lead the multidisciplinary team in providing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for patients with eating disorders within a CAMHS setting.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including specialty doctors, nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, develop individualized treatment strategies, and monitor patient progress effectively.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
- Participate in case reviews, family meetings, and discharge planning conferences to facilitate seamless transitions for patients.
Your Expertise:
- Possess MRCPsych qualification and CAMHS CCT or CESR accreditation (or evidence of pathway for imminent completion).
- Hold Approved Clinician and Section 12 approval status, demonstrating your expertise in managing patients with complex mental health needs.
- Have a proven track record of working within an inpatient CAMHS Eating Disorders setting, applying evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality care.
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and colleagues.
