Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in a part-time or full-time capacity. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for leading the multidisciplinary team in the care and treatment of patients, including weekly ward round reviews, risk assessments, and ongoing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership
    • Lead the multidisciplinary team in the care and treatment of patients.
    • Conduct weekly ward round reviews, risk assessments, and ongoing treatment plans.
    • Attend family meetings, case review meetings, and discharge planning meetings as required.
  • Management and Governance
    • Attend the hospital-wide Clinical Governance Group (monthly).
    • Participate in the group-wide Mental Health Clinical Governance Group (quarterly).
    • Engage in service development through research, innovation, and local audit.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in ongoing personal development through CPD and annual appraisal.
    • Engage in National Networks and continue strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • CAMHS CCT or CESR (Required) or evidence of pathway for imminent completion.
  • Approved Clinician and Section 12 Approved (Required).
  • Working within an inpatient CAMHS Eating Disorders setting.
  • Evidenced-based practice.
  • Confidence in engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  • Patient-centered, outcomes-based care.
