Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist to join our team at Active Care Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the care and treatment of patients with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Lead the multidisciplinary team in the care and treatment of patients, including weekly ward round reviews, risk assessments, and ongoing treatment plans.
  • Screening Assessments: Conduct screening assessments for admissions to the service and lead the multidisciplinary team in this process.
  • Supervision and Support: Provide supervision and support to specialty doctors and ensure clinical documentation is robust and up-to-date.
  • Participation in On-Call Rota: Participate in the second-tier Consultant on-call rota.
  • Service Development: Contribute to service development through research, innovation, and local audit, and participate in national networks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, particularly our partners in the NHS, to ensure strong relationships and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: MRCPsych, CAMHS CCT or CESR, and Approved Clinician and Section 12 Approved.
  • Experience: Experience of working in an inpatient CAMHS eating disorders setting, with a strong understanding of evidenced-based practice.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
