About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to join our Imaging Team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our professional staff with patient care and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high-quality imaging services across various modalities.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist in training new healthcare assistants and support workers.
  • Help manage and update support worker rotas.
  • Oversee stock maintenance and ordering.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including cannulation, venepuncture, and Point of Care Testing (POCT).
  • Maintain and update patients' electronic imaging records using Trust and departmental systems.

Person Specification

  • Education & Qualifications
    • Essential: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health-related subject/Care Certificate.
    • Trained in cannulation, venepuncture, and Point of Care Testing (POCT).
  • Experience
    • Essential: Previous experience as a care assistant in a NHS or private healthcare environment.
    • Desirable: Experience of working in an Imaging Department.
  • Key Skills
    • Essential: Ability to communicate appropriately with patients/carers/multi-disciplinary team. Communicating clearly in English in both verbal and written forms.
    • Desirable: Basic IT and keyboard skills.
  • Knowledge
    • Desirable: CRIS & PACS.
