Your Impact as a Director of Product Design

As a Director of Product Design, you'll lead and inspire a talented team of designers, shaping the future of Xero's products. You'll play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of small businesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Development: Cultivate a high-performing design team, fostering collaboration, growth, and a culture of excellence. Provide mentorship and guidance to designers at all levels.
  • Strategic Design Vision: Collaborate with product leaders to define the strategic direction for Xero's product design, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • User-Centered Design: Champion a user-centered design approach, conducting user research, analyzing data, and iterating on designs to create intuitive and delightful experiences.
  • Design Process & Standards: Establish and maintain best practices for the design process, ensuring consistency and quality across all Xero products.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders across various departments, fostering strong relationships and alignment.
