The Financial Modelling division within our Deals & Business Consulting sector is a dynamic and rapidly expanding group. We provide comprehensive financial modelling solutions to clients across a broad spectrum of Advisory services, encompassing corporate finance transactions, operational transformations, and restructuring initiatives. Our team collaborates closely with the firm's extensive modelling network, exchanging insights and best practices with fellow modelling specialists.

We construct, evaluate, and modify models across various industries and Advisory functions. Financial models are crucial to nearly all business decisions and corporate transactions. We equip our clients with the analytical tools necessary to comprehend the ramifications of their choices prior to implementation. The majority of our work is conducted using Microsoft Excel, with limited engagement in other programming languages. Our focus is on delivering user-friendly, adaptable, and resilient tools that can withstand changes.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate within our team, your responsibilities will include:

Designing and developing financial models and analytical tools for clients to aid in forecasting and strategic planning, or assisting in their creation and enhancement Utilizing and modifying models to conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses for transactions and restructuring efforts Reviewing the modelling outputs of junior colleagues, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to brand standards, while providing constructive feedback and guidance Interpreting model results and engaging in meaningful discussions with clients and team members regarding their implications Evaluating financial models created by clients and their advisors, compiling initial assessments and insights Actively participating in model design discussions and drafting model specification documents Preparing engagement letters for review by senior team members Attending client meetings, fostering relationships built on trust and high-quality work Contributing to reports being compiled by other Advisory teams (e.g., VDD, FDD, Corporate Finance, Restructuring)

Candidate Profile

To be considered for the Senior Associate position, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications :

Experience in a comparable role within a Big 4 or similar modelling team Currently in a managerial or equivalent position Proficient in Excel with a strong grasp of advanced techniques Comprehensive understanding of modelling best practices Highly numerate with exceptional communication abilities Strong accounting knowledge and insight into cash flow and working capital cycles Degree educated or equivalent, preferably in a quantitative discipline ACA or CA qualified or equivalent
