Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for forecasting and sales analysis for given ranges. You will review historical sales figures and record lessons learned through the season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting and sales analysis for given ranges
- Reviewing historical sales figures and recording lessons learned through the season
- Liaising with factories and Quality department to ensure shipment dates are met for ongoing and new lines
- Recognising when issues need to be flagged up with the business to a senior management
- Managing products and reporting any potential issues to the Manager in a timely manner
- Managing the intake of stock within given stock turn targets
- Managing own stock to maximise availability, whilst reducing discontinued exposure
- Assisting with range planning through Ranking meetings
- Planning initial buys for new lines
- Managing the system to ensure products are set up correctly and factories have sufficient information
- Collating and managing potential discontinued products
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Merchandiser - preferably within retailer/importer environment with knowledge of forecasting and report writing
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel
- Solid communication & articulation skills
- Ability to multi-task
