Systemic Family Therapist

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Systemic Family Therapist to become a vital member of our multidisciplinary team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT). This role offers the chance to engage with a diverse community, providing essential support to children, adolescents, and their families facing various emotional and psychological challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload involving complex assessments, therapeutic interventions, and consultations for children and their families dealing with behavioral and mental health issues.
- Contribute to the development of a specialized systemic therapy service, collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Participate in regular supervision and contribute to a family therapy clinic, ensuring continuous professional development and peer support.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, adhering to the principles of child and adolescent mental health service delivery.
- Provide culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions, accommodating a variety of family structures and backgrounds.
Clinical Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored care plans for children and young people, ensuring the integration of evidence-based practices.
- Perform risk assessments and manage care plans, coordinating with other professionals to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Facilitate joint assessments and interventions with colleagues from various disciplines, promoting a collaborative approach to care.
- Stay informed about current legislation and best practices in mental health, ensuring compliance and high standards of care.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Master's or Doctoral level qualification in Systemic or Family Therapy.
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant mental health or social welfare field.
- Registered as a Systemic Psychotherapist with a recognized professional body.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable:
- Specialized training in relevant areas, with knowledge of CAPA and CYP-IAPT frameworks.
