Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a skilled and experienced Administrative Coordinator to join the Department of Neurosciences (Neurology) at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Consultants and clinical teams to ensure the efficient management of patient referrals, clinical documentation, outpatient appointments, and all related administrative responsibilities, serving as a primary point of contact for both consultants and colleagues.

Ideal candidates should possess strong administrative capabilities, be adept in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and demonstrate excellent organizational and typing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a specialized, comprehensive, and confidential administrative support service to Consultants and their teams, adhering to departmental, trust, and national standards and policies.
  • Establish and maintain an effective office management system to optimize the consultant's patient care services. This includes managing schedules, coordinating leave arrangements, ensuring timely communication with relevant personnel, organizing meetings/events, and preparing correspondence and reports.
  • Contribute to ongoing patient and business improvement initiatives by undertaking project work as directed, including data collection and reporting, utilizing relevant IT systems to ensure accurate patient data management.

Job Duties

  • Act as a senior point of contact to manage and resolve all inquiries promptly, maintaining appropriate records and ensuring relevant personnel are informed.
  • Ensure that all clinical documentation is current, organized, and readily available for clinical decision-making, collaborating effectively with all relevant personnel.
  • Oversee the organization of all patients under the care of the consultant and their team, ensuring compliance with local and national policies and targets.
