Transforming Education for Vulnerable Learners

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to young people with Special Education Needs (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other Additional Educational Needs.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that offers flexible hours to suit your schedule. You will work with children and young people with a range of learning needs, providing Maths, English, or Science tuition in a creative, flexible, and holistic manner. Our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths, English, or Science sessions to meet the needs of each young person
  • Provide holistic and trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support the educational and social-emotional journey of each young person
  • Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the progress of each young person
Requirements
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
