Job Summary
Beaumont Lodge Medical Practice is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a part-time Receptionist/Administrator role.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, handling telephone inquiries and face-to-face interactions with a high level of professionalism and empathy.
The role involves a range of tasks, including answering queries, making appointments, and carrying out tasks for the doctors and wider team.
Full training will be provided, and the opportunity to progress to a leadership role or Assistant Practice Manager position will be available after a six-month probationary period.
About Us
We are a practice serving almost 7,000 patients across two sites, with a team of GP partners, registrars, nurses, administrators, and additional roles such as a Clinical Pharmacist and Mental Health Practitioner.
Job Responsibilities
This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with the general public, particularly in challenging situations, and be proficient in using Office 365 software.

- Good telephone manner and empathetic approach to patient interactions
- Excellent computer skills, including Office 365
- Exceptional timekeeping skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional Saturdays

- Experience in general practice or the NHS, although full training will be provided
