Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and multi-talented Senior Environment Artist to join our team. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for conceiving, creating, and implementing innovative artistic visuals for AAA titles. Your expertise in generating a diverse range of styles, technical proficiency with current-gen technology, and illustration skills will be invaluable assets to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement artistic visual concepts for AAA titles, working closely with internal and external teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of artistic visuals into game development.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive creative solutions and improve artistic quality.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience in console development, with a minimum of 2 shipped titles.
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to direct internal or external teams and individuals.
  • Excellent resource management and judgment, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable liaising with clients in an authoritative and professional manner.
  • Self-motivated, friendly, and gregarious, with a passion for delivering exceptional game experiences.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and budgets.
  • 2-3 years of experience developing and implementing solid art production pathways.
  • The ability to find creative solutions when troubleshooting and assessing risks.
  • A good understanding of cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools, with the ability to implement them into current practical practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Creative and self-motivated, with a strong passion for artistic expression.
  • Strong and versatile modeling skills, with experience using Maya.
  • Experience using Unreal 4 and Unity, with a strong understanding of their capabilities.
  • Experience using Substance, with a focus on creating high-quality textures and materials.
  • Experience using ZBrush, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on creating realistic models.
  • Some experience setting up LODs, with a strong understanding of their importance in game development.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey artistic vision.
  • An artistic education to at least graduate level, with a strong foundation in artistic principles and techniques.
  • A strong folio showcasing realistic modeling and environment art, with a focus on demonstrating artistic skill and creativity.
