Senior Environment Artist

At Build a Rocket Boy, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Environment Artist to join our Art team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, high-resolution 3D environment art, including natural and architectural environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Lead Environment Artist to develop visually stunning 3D environments that meet the project's artistic and technical requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest game engine and authoring tools, ensuring seamless integration with our existing pipeline.
  • Work closely with engineers and tech artists to enhance our art pipeline and drive rapid iteration game development.
  • Ensure all assets and environments conform to our defined technical and artistic standards.
  • Partner with production staff to manage personal deliverables, meeting defined objectives, quality bars, and schedules.
  • Understand and adhere to the project's art direction, maintaining quality and consistency across your work.
  • Utilize a world editor to populate and set dress our game world with a variety of 3D assets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in creating high-quality, high-resolution 3D assets, UV maps, and textures.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an artist in the games industry.
  • Strong experience with current 3D modeling tools, such as 3ds Max, Maya, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with a game engine (Unreal, Unity, or similar).
  • A strong understanding of art fundamentals.
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
