Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Radiographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of radiographic equipment, including general, mobile, CBCT, and fluoroscopy, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Work as part of a professional radiography team to provide a high-quality diagnostic service, maintaining a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients.
  • Develop and improve professional expertise through continuous professional development, adhering to the highest professional standards set by the Health Professions Council.
  • Clinically supervise and train Student Radiographers during hospital placements, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment within the departments, adhering to clinical governance issues related to patient care.
Requirements
  • Diploma of the College of Radiographers (DCR) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography, or equivalent specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience.
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • At least 1 year's experience as a Band 5 Radiographer, with experience of working unsupervised and awareness of clinical governance issues related to patient care.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate in Intravenous (IV) Cannulation.
  • MRI/CT experience.
  • Experience of training staff and students.
  • CT/MRI related CPD.
