We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiographer to join our team at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Radiography Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality diagnostic service using a range of radiographic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Use the full range of radiographic equipment within the departments, including general, mobile, CBCT, and fluoroscopy.
- Work as part of a professional radiography team to provide a high-quality diagnostic service.
- Maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients.
- Develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.
- Maintain a safe working environment within the departments.
- Clinically supervise and train Student Radiographers during Hospital placements.
- Maintain the highest professional standards as set out by the Health Professions Council.
Person Specification
Essential
- DCR (Diploma of the College of radiographers) or BSC (Bachelor of Science) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience.
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
Desirable
- Certificate in Intravenous (IV) Cannulation.
Experience
Essential
- At least 1 year's Band 5 experience.
- Experience of working unsupervised.
- Awareness of clinical governance issues in relation to patient care.
Desirable
- MRI/CT experience.
- Experience of training staff and students.
