About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our team at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Radiographer, you will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use a range of radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Work as part of a professional radiography team to provide a high-quality diagnostic service
  • Maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients
  • Develop and improve professional expertise through continuous professional development
  • Maintain a safe working environment within the departments
  • Clinically supervise and train Student Radiographers during Hospital placements
  • Maintain the highest professional standards as set out by the Health Professions Council

Person Specification

Essential

  • Diploma of the College of Radiographers (DCR) or Bachelor of Science (BSC) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration

Desirable

  • Certificate in Intravenous (IV) Cannulation

Experience

Essential

  • At least 1 year's experience as a Band 5 Radiographer
  • Experience of working unsupervised
  • Awareness of clinical governance issues in relation to patient care

Desirable

  • MRI/CT experience
  • Experience of training staff and students

  • CPD - clear recent CPD
