Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Professional to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Classroom Teachers: Assist classroom teachers in their work, ensuring that students with special educational needs participate in lessons and make good progress.
  • Planning and Delivering Tutoring Programs: Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programs to support students' academic development.
  • Break Time and Lunch Time Duties: Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 preferred), with previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Basic First Aid Certification: Basic first aid certification is an advantage.
  • DBS Check: A clear DBS check (or equivalent background check) is required.
