Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Lesson Planning

  • Design and develop stimulating lesson plans
  • Produce educational materials to enhance learning
  • Engage in extracurricular learning initiatives

Instruction and Engagement

  • Conduct lessons during teacher absences
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and educators
  • Encourage student participation and facilitate their educational journey

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
  • Keep detailed records of student performance
  • Participate in assessment initiatives and communicate insights to parents

Support and Development

  • Assist fellow teaching assistants and mentor their activities
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and practices
  • Engage in professional development and staff meetings

Student Welfare and Discipline

  • Foster inclusive educational settings
  • Address students' pastoral requirements
  • Ensure a safe and disciplined environment for all students

Additional Responsibilities

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • GCSE English & Maths at grade C/4 or above
  • HLTA Qualification or equivalent
