Role: Consultant in Pain Management and Acute Pain Lead

Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 8pm.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivering a professional and efficient pain management service to patients, ensuring exceptional customer care while upholding confidentiality.
  • Preparing clinical documentation with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with the Trust's policies and data quality standards.
  • Coordinating the attendance of interpreters for patients requiring communication assistance.
  • Managing patient appointments and ensuring timely follow-ups as directed by medical staff.
  • Requesting and facilitating the transfer of patient records from various departments.
  • Prioritizing workload to meet daily targets related to patient documentation.
  • Adhering to departmental policies and participating in quality audits to maintain service efficiency.
  • Upholding patient confidentiality and being knowledgeable about data protection regulations.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing comprehensive reception and clerical support.

Candidate Profile Qualifications and Experience Essential Criteria
  • GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at Grade C/Level 4 or above, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.

  • Proficient IT and keyboard skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
