Role: Consultant in Pain Management and Acute Pain Lead

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 8am and 8pm.

Key Responsibilities

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust offers a variety of healthcare services to the residents of East Lancashire. Our goal is to provide high-quality personal and organizational development interventions that enhance patient care.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a professional and efficient Outpatient Service to patients, ensuring high standards of customer care and confidentiality.
  • Preparing clinic case notes with attention to detail for commissioning and data quality in accordance with Trust policies.
  • Coordinating the attendance of interpreters for patients requiring communication assistance.
  • Managing patient bookings for outpatient clinics and issuing follow-up appointments as directed.
  • Requesting and ensuring the timely delivery of health records for patients attending clinics or admissions.
  • Prioritizing workload to meet daily deadlines for case notes provision.
  • Adhering to departmental policies and participating in audits to maintain data quality.
  • Upholding patient confidentiality and being aware of data protection regulations.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing comprehensive reception and clerical support.
