Openvolt is pioneering the API for Energy. Our vision is to establish the foundational data infrastructure that empowers a new generation of innovators to expedite the energy transition. We are currently dedicated to facilitating access to smart meter data throughout Europe. Specifically, we collaborate with smart meter data hubs to enable our clients, other software enterprises, to seamlessly and compliantly access this data. Our ambitions for Openvolt extend far beyond this, and we are in search of a skilled and motivated Product Marketing Lead to position Openvolt as a frontrunner in this significant market.
About the Role:
- This is the inaugural marketing position within the team (indeed the first go-to-market hire). It is a pivotal role with the ultimate responsibility for developing our inbound sales pipeline and, over time, engaging and educating existing clients to maximize their use of the Openvolt API.
- You will be tasked with designing and implementing the inbound marketing strategy aimed at establishing Openvolt as the category leader in the energy data sector. We anticipate this will encompass a range of initiatives including brand development (such as content marketing, thought leadership, etc.), performance marketing, participation in trade shows, email outreach, and more.
- This is a foundational role. We have minimal marketing infrastructure in place, and you will spearhead our initiatives entirely.
About You:
- 5+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 2-3 years in a generalist product marketing capacity within a B2B software organization. Ideally, you should have experience with several of the various product marketing strategies mentioned above.
- Previous startup experience is preferred. You understand what it means to operate within a small, agile team. Every moment is crucial, which means you exhibit a strong sense of urgency. You are innovative in achieving a lot with limited resources.
- You can function at both the strategic level (developing a comprehensive marketing plan) and possess exceptional attention to detail (you know what 'excellence' looks like).
- You currently work remotely and appreciate the autonomy and responsibility that comes with delivering results. You demonstrate high ownership and accountability with a proven history of creating impact (you can clearly articulate this impact).
- You are comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative marketing (possessing a good understanding of brand identity development and the ability to analyze campaign performance).
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
