Job Title: District Nursing Deputy Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Nursing Deputy Team Manager to join our team at Whittington Health. As a Deputy Team Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing a team of district nurses, providing high-quality care to patients in their own homes or residential settings.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in district nursing, with experience in managing care teams and leading clinical practice. You will be responsible for ensuring that the care provided meets the highest standards, and that patients receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of district nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
  • Develop and implement care plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure that care meets the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff, promoting their professional development and well-being.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a strong background in district nursing.
  • Experience in managing care teams and leading clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to assess and manage complex patient needs.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
