Job Title: District Nursing Deputy Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Nursing Deputy Team Manager to join our team at Whittington Health. As a Deputy Team Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients in their own homes or residential settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the effective delivery of nursing care to patients, ensuring that practice is delivered in line with the NMC code.
  • Supervise and train junior staff and students, promoting good communication, employment practices, and industrial relations within the nursing team.
  • Participate in policy and standard setting, quality initiatives, and clinical audit, ensuring that care given meets the standards and policies set by Whittington Health.
  • Contribute to the development of the nursing team and community health services by participating in working parties, committees, and planning and discussion groups.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with 1st level registration.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Further postgraduate certification.
  • Proven ability to meet work-based competencies in a primary care setting.
  • Experience and understanding of teamwork and integrated working.
