Job Title: Regional Director

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director to join our Global Transaction Banking team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and profitable growth of our Treasury Management Office in the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a customer-focused culture to deepen existing client relationships and source new transaction banking business across GTB products and solutions.
  • Promote business development in line with both business line and the Group's strategy by focusing on core markets and core solutions across the network.
  • Lead a diverse team with both direct and dual reporting lines comprised of industry-aligned treasury management officers and product solutions specialists.
  • Collaborate with key partners including Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Treasury, Global Risk Management, Capital Markets, and Investment Banking as required.
  • Deliver thought leadership to the market, prospects, and clients via on-site and virtual meetings, industry conferences, roundtables, and client entertainment and events.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in transaction banking, including global cash management, liquidity management, trade and working capital solutions, and/or corporate banking.
  • Knowledge and understanding of transaction banking products, credit and risk processes, and pricing philosophy.
  • Exceptional experience in sales, product/account management, legal, and/or credit risk analysis roles within a banking environment.
  • Success in managing a team and meeting/exceeding stated growth and return objectives.
  • Concern and regard for managing operational and enterprise risk in a developed and highly regulated market.
  • Minimum degree qualification in a relevant subject.
