About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Head of Maintenance Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscape maintenance technicians and trainees, ensuring they are highly motivated, professional, and working efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line-manage a team of landscape maintenance technicians and trainees, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and ensuring they are highly motivated and professional.
  • Ensure the green estate is maintained and presented to a high standard, adhering to our high-quality standards.
  • Support the team in promoting the values and culture of the organisation, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • A full driving licence is required for this role.
  • Experience of landscape maintenance and horticulture, with a strong understanding of horticultural practices and principles.
  • Experience of carrying out landscape maintenance to a high standard, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • NPTC Level 2 Certificate of competence in Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm.
  • NPTC Level 2 (PA1/PA6) Safe use and application of pesticides by handheld equipment.
  • Prepared and motivated to take on further training to enhance individual skills and knowledge.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualification in land management (e.g. horticulture, landscape maintenance), demonstrating a strong understanding of horticultural practices and principles.
  • Experience and understanding of tree work and silvicultural practices, with a focus on safety and sustainability.
  • Experience of using Microsoft 365, with a strong understanding of its applications and benefits.
