Job Overview

The EMEA Controller is a key member of our accounting management team, responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic guidance to the region. This role requires a seasoned accounting professional with a strong background in financial management, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local statutory requirements.
  • Statutory Accounting: Manage local statutory accounting and reporting for countries in Europe and the Middle East, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Accounting Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and risk management.
  • Controllership Activities: Oversee EMEA region controllership activities, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close process, consolidations, intercompany transactions, and eliminations.
  • Financial Systems: Support the development of robust financial systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls to protect assets and sustain regulatory compliance.
  • External Audits: Coordinate external audits, ensuring timely completion with minimal disruptions.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to produce monthly and quarterly Forecast vs. Actual reporting.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide proactive cross-functional support to various departments, embodying a customer service mentality and facilitating a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and professional development.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in Accounting, 3-5 years' experience as a Controller
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory requirements
  • Familiarity with reporting requirements for European and Middle Eastern countries
  • Flexibility and adaptability to standing up a new financial system to full production operations
  • Robust knowledge in financial management and compliance
  • Experience working in technology companies is preferred
  • Proficiency with financial software is preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
