Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the EMEA accounting team, ensuring effective management of financial accounting, reporting, accounts payable, billing and collections, and treasury operations.
  • Collaborate with external accounting firms in regions lacking a local team to facilitate the closing of accounts and fulfill statutory obligations.
  • Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, along with the preparation of financial statements that comply with statutory regulations.
  • Work closely with the US Corporate Controller and FP&A team to conduct financial analyses that clarify variances in financial performance against budget and forecast targets, as well as prior year results.
  • Develop and implement robust systems, accounting policies, and financial controls to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure the timely creation and delivery of cash flow projections for performance evaluation and planning purposes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in managing the monthly close and financial reporting processes, with expertise in finance operations (AR/AP), cash management, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA/ACCA certification is required, and an MBA is advantageous.
  • Audit experience within a public accounting firm, along with a career trajectory in accounting roles with increasing leadership responsibilities, is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills; continuously seeking to enhance processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused mindset, capable of building strong relationships.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus:
    • Global Accounting
    • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
    • Financial system implementations and improvements
