We are seeking an exceptional Financial Controller to join our EMEA team at JSS Search. As a key member of our Finance Leadership Team, you will be responsible for Board Reporting, Balance Sheet control, Financial Reporting/consolidations, Statutory Accounts, and business-facing international projects.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of the EMEA financials and consolidated accounts across a fast-paced business as they scale at pace.
- Lead a team of 6 across the UK covering EMEA remit, coaching, developing, and training the team for best-in-class practice.
- Oversee and manage the production of accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts and Interim (half-year) and annual corporate statutory group reporting.
- Lead on M&A activity and accounting across geographies.
- Work with outside accountants to ensure tax compliance.
- Preparation of journal entries, data entry, and posting, on a monthly or as needed basis, to ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.
- Prepare various financial statements and reports for clients, auditors, regulatory agencies, and others both internal and external to the organization.
- Participate in the maintenance of accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and facilitate information flow by working collaboratively with other organizational departments.
- Analyze and recommend accounting and financial reporting improvements with a goal of using systems effectively and efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and strong internal controls.
- Responsible for the consolidation of ESG-metrics reporting for the Group in collaboration with relevant Business Units.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the standardization of reporting and operational efficiencies.
- Qualified accountant with substantial PQE.
- Ideally have a background in one of the 'big 4' audit firms.
- Ability to work in a fast/ever-changing environment.
- Exposure working in a US business is desirable.
- Influential and credible with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders at an international level.
- Working in a wide variety of sub-disciplines (e.g., G/L, tax, process improvement).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical/senior audiences.
- Proven ability to work as a member of multi-functional teams.
- £120,000, and bonus (+wider bens).
- Opportunity to shape and develop a financial strategy across EMEA.
- Fully remote role (UK Based).
