Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional EMEA Financial Controller to join our team at JSS Search. As a key member of our Finance Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading the EMEA financials and consolidated accounts, as well as overseeing the production of accurate and timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 6 across the UK, covering EMEA remit, and coach, develop, and train the team for best-in-class practice.
  • Oversee and manage the production of accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts and Interim (half-year) and annual corporate statutory group reporting.
  • Lead on M&A activity and accounting across geographies.
  • Work with outside accountants to ensure tax compliance.
  • Prepare various financial statements and reports for clients, auditors, regulatory agencies, and others.
  • Analyse and recommend accounting and financial reporting improvements.
  • Responsible for the consolidation of ESG-metrics reporting for the Group in collaboration with relevant Business Units.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the standardisation of reporting and operational efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with substantial PQE.
  • Ideally have a background in one of the "big 4" audit firms.
  • Ability to work in a fast/ever-changing environment.
  • Exposure working in US business desirable.
  • Influential and credible with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders at an international level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical/senior audiences.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of multi-functional teams.
