Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Construction Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Mechanical Construction Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of construction projects on a nuclear licensed site.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Coordination

Coordinate the installation of mechanical plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to site.

Design and Documentation

Process isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements, and issue construction packages to installation supervisors.

Progress Monitoring

Review and report weekly progress against the project programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

Team Leadership

Lead a small team of supervisors and blue-collar operatives, and coordinate sub-contract activities.

Requirements

  1. Experience

Proven experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects, with a background in nuclear licensed site delivery.

Qualifications

Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC), and a valid competency card.

Skills

Good knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, and ability to follow drawings and specifications.

Certifications

IOSH Managing Safely, and experience of working with Shield Doors, Gamma gates, and Kuka robot equipment.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible for security clearance, including British Citizenship and not having worked outside the UK for the past 5 years.
