We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in providing superior quality engineering design services to support our business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop cost-effective design layouts that meet the requirements of the specification and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensure that standard practices are utilized wherever possible to maintain competitiveness and provide estimates and feedback for our proposals department.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and maintain procedures and processes that ensure the continuing development of our department.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring procedures and processes to ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinate designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure that design processes are carried out for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
  • Maintain accurate files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by working within a culture that recognizes satisfying the customer as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintain a personal development plan to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in supervising and developing staff to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
  • Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
  • Ensure designs take account of environmental issues and health and safety requirements.

**Requirements:**

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
