Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, ensuring the application of process, domain knowledge, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities
  • Assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development
  • Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied
  • Contribute to Project Safety Assessment process
  • Communicate and manage task and project risks
  • Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports

Requirements:

  • Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams
  • Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
