Director of Building Surveying

Currie & Brown, a leading international physical asset management and construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Director of Building Surveying to lead our team in London & South East.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and mentor an expanding team of building surveyors across the London & South East region.
- Manage and support the team engaged on existing commissions, ensuring high standards of service delivery and successful outcomes for clients.
- Develop and improve team performance, formulating and implementing a local growth plan in consultation with senior directors.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop staff within the allotted teams, liaising with line managers to ensure effective team management.
- Implement and monitor relevant administration systems, including customer care standards, and manage team administration to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to the company's health and safety policy and other relevant policies.
- BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent.
- A minimum of 15 years' technical delivery experience gained within a construction consultancy.
- Proficiency in IT skills, including AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other bespoke systems.
- Knowledge of the local and national marketplace.
- Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
