Aircraft Mechanical Fitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join our team at CV-Library. As a key member of our Flight Operations team, you will be responsible for providing engineering operational support and ensuring the safe operation of our aircraft.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical support to Flight Operations, including maintenance inspections and repairs.
  2. Work on airframe structure, power plant, mechanical, and electrical systems in accordance with OEM instructions.
  3. Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component, and composite technical work in workshops as required.
  4. Assist in the day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
  • Knowledge of specialized test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations.
  • Aircraft Line Maintenance and Base Maintenance experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
  • Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
Education and Experience:
  • Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
  • Experience on H135/H145.
