Job Summary
Morson Talent Careers is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for providing engineering operational support to Flight Operations, accomplishing maintenance inspections and repairs, and working to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
- Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
- Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Complete maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
- Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
- Assist in day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
- Knowledge of specialized test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
- Must have up-to-date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations, Aircraft Line Maintenance, and Aircraft Base Maintenance.
- Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS is desirable.
- Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations is desirable.
Education and Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline is essential.
- Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS is desirable.
