Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in providing robust HR support to our sites, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed and fully supported.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support and guidance to managers across the business, ensuring consistent and supportive advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the HR Manager on employee relations processes, project work, and deputise where required.
  • Plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload, working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Support and guide on HR related questions and queries, including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance.
  • Support the wider management team and provide guidance on recruitment, performance, and employee development.
  • Support and advise the HR team on the payroll process and provide practical support where required.
  • Coordinate occupational health and associated absence management.
  • Support and have involvement in producing HR related data, including KPI reporting.
  • Visit farm locations where required to provide face-to-face HR support and guidance.
  • Be involved with employee engagement activities, including mental health, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure all HR records are fully maintained and held in strict compliance with GDPR and Ethical Trading Requirements.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Previous experience of a similar HR role is essential.
  • CIPD5 would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to deliver quality and accuracy with great attention to detail.
  • Be a pro-active, self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to establish rapport quickly.
  • UK driving licence.
