Man Group is seeking a passionate and driven Talent Development Manager (Apprenticeships & Returners) to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of apprenticeship and returner programs, ensuring their success from recruitment to ongoing development.

As a key member of the People Team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to design, implement, and manage impactful talent development initiatives. Your expertise in program management, diversity outreach, and stakeholder engagement will be instrumental in driving positive outcomes for our apprentices and returners.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for apprenticeship and returner programs, encompassing all stages from recruitment to ongoing support.
  • Refine onboarding processes and ensure seamless integration of new talent into the organization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and deliver training programs tailored to the needs of apprentices and returners, as well as their managers.
  • Gather regular feedback from participants and implement improvements based on insights gathered.
  • Provide dedicated pastoral care and development support to all individuals enrolled in our programs, acting as a liaison between them and relevant business stakeholders.
  • Identify innovative ways to leverage the apprenticeship levy and expand training opportunities for apprentices.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a global work experience program, collaborating with colleagues across regions.
  • Propose and manage budgets for all talent development programs.
Diversity Outreach:
  • Actively seek out diverse talent pools through strategic partnerships and outreach initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with organizations dedicated to promoting diversity in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with internal social mobility teams to advance initiatives that foster inclusivity.
  • Work closely with the Global People Team, DE&I steering group, and other working groups to champion a forward-looking DE&I agenda.
Technical Competencies:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in HR or a training provider, specializing in early careers development or career switchers/returners.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and understanding the apprenticeship levy framework.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities, demonstrating initiative, proactivity, and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
