Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our dedicated Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and contribute to our Frailty Hub project. This exciting opportunity allows you to play a vital role in supporting patients with frailty needs and enhancing their well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assisting with minor surgery, wound care, and health checks.
- Perform essential clinical tasks such as ECG recording, blood tests, urine tests, ear irrigation, and blood pressure monitoring.
- Administer injections and vaccines (with appropriate training) such as B12, pneumococcal, and seasonal flu.
- Assist with coil fittings and other procedures as directed by the GP or PCN Lead.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the MDT to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Care Certificate or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience in phlebotomy and primary care settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
