Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a Children's home in Ipswich, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to support the growth and development of the Children's home, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
  3. Ensure the home's procedures and strategies are implemented and adhered to, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  4. Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring the home remains compliant and ahead of the curve.
  5. Manage performance and development, using regular staff supervisions and appraisals to promote a culture of self-awareness and understanding.

Requirements:

  1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  2. Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  3. A minimum of 5 years' experience working within Children's residential care, with 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  4. Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections.
