About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Fevaca. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services within our children's home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the children's home
  • Supervise and manage staff, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support
  • Develop and implement support plans for children, ensuring their needs are met and their outcomes are improved
  • Work closely with external agencies, such as social work teams and police, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the home
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of working with vulnerable children in a residential environment
  • Good standard of written and verbal English, including report writing and assessment skills
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework for the field
  • Completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services in the children and young people's residential management pathway or equivalent
Desirable
  • Experience of managing staff and completing supervision and appraisal processes
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Management Qualification
