We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist to become part of our dedicated team. This role is situated within a resettlement facility, focusing on rehabilitation and support for individuals seeking to overcome substance dependencies.

As a member of the Recovery Team, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals who are motivated to alter their behaviors, fostering health and wellness through recovery from substance use. This position is integral to our healthcare team, contributing significantly to patient care and ensuring high-quality support.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring commitment throughout the week, including weekends on a rotational basis. Standard working hours are from 08:00 to 16:00, with flexibility available for shift arrangements.

Compensation: The annual salary for this role can reach up to £29,085, contingent upon relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist, your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Delivering exceptional care to patients with psychosocial needs, actively seeking and responding to their feedback to ensure personalized care.
  • Implementing a range of psychosocial interventions.
  • Providing guidance and information regarding substance misuse, alcohol cessation, blood-borne viruses, and safe sexual practices.
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Supporting the healthcare team in various settings.
