Job Advert Role Description

Kemple View is located in the picturesque Ribble Valley, offering low secure and rehabilitation services to male patients. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional care, having achieved an Outstanding rating in all five areas by the CQC.

Our recovery-focused treatments are provided by a seasoned multidisciplinary team, featuring a variety of therapeutic programs and occupational therapy activities, both within the hospital and in the community.

As a vital member of the administrative team, you will deliver professional and efficient secretarial and administrative assistance to the medical staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the hospital and medical team, including typing, minute taking, managing correspondence, and appointment scheduling.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service for patients, contributing to a positive experience.
  • Organizing diaries and patient appointments, collaborating with patients and consultants to optimize service delivery.
  • Utilizing CareNotes effectively, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
  • Coordinating with inpatient and therapy services regarding admissions, discharges, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Prioritizing inquiries and issues to maintain high service standards.
  • Addressing patient and family complaints with sensitivity and urgency, escalating as necessary.
  • Maintaining organized documentation for compliance with financial and regulatory audits.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and adherence to Information Governance policies.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Knowledge / Education / Skills

  • Proficient in computer and Microsoft Office applications, with audio-typing skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical secretary or clinical role.
  • Experience working within a team to ensure departmental effectiveness.
  • Adaptability in procedures, particularly in patient interactions.

Communication

Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style based on the audience. This role requires effective interaction with patients and colleagues, emphasizing a customer service approach.
