Job Advert Role Description

Kemple View is located in the picturesque Ribble Valley, offering low secure and rehabilitation services to male patients. Our facility has been recognized for outstanding quality care, receiving top ratings from regulatory bodies.

Our recovery-focused treatments are delivered by a skilled multidisciplinary team, featuring a variety of therapeutic programs and occupational therapy activities, both in hospital and community settings.

As a vital member of the administrative team, you will deliver proficient and professional secretarial and administrative assistance to the medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the hospital and medical team, including typing, minute-taking, managing correspondence, and handling telephone inquiries.
  • Organize and manage diaries and patient appointments, ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Utilize CareNotes effectively, ensuring timely updates and accurate data entry.
  • Collaborate with inpatient and therapy services regarding patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up arrangements.
  • Address patient and family inquiries with sensitivity, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Information Governance standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements for enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork across departments.

Knowledge / Education / Skills

  • Proficient in computer and Microsoft Office applications, with audio-typing skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical secretary or clinical role.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining high service standards.

Communication

Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style based on the audience.
