Domestic Violence Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Violence Specialist to join our team in Blackpool, working 37.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic violence, helping them to keep themselves safe, understand their rights and options, and supporting them through the Criminal Justice process when required.

About the Role

This role involves working with victims of domestic abuse, completing risk assessments and safety plans, and collaborating with partner agencies to develop multi-agency plans to support victims effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic violence
  • Completing risk assessments and safety plans
  • Working with partner agencies to develop multi-agency plans

Requirements

  • Good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse
  • Preferably experience of working with victims at high risk of harm
  • IDVA accreditation or willingness to work towards one
  • Excellent communication skills and empathy
  • Good levels of organisation and ability to prioritise and work under pressure
