About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Specialist to join our team in Blackpool. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting victims of domestic abuse, helping them to stay safe and understand their rights and options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic violence, providing them with emotional support and guidance to help them navigate the Criminal Justice process.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure the victim's well-being.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to develop effective multi-agency plans that support victims effectively.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on victims.
  • Experience working with victims at high risk of harm, preferably in a similar role.
  • IDVA accreditation or willingness to work towards one.
  • Excellent communication and empathy skills, with the ability to work effectively with victims and partner agencies.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
