As a key member of the Estimating Team, you will contribute to achieving Sales Targets and fulfilling company objectives for both existing clients and new ventures within Mission Critical Solutions.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Perform precise mechanical cost estimations for various projects within the MCS portfolio.
  • Develop innovative solutions to meet client specifications.
  • Maintain industry awareness to stay informed about competitor methodologies.
  • Compile and prepare proposal submissions, including evaluations of new project delivery methods to identify viable commercial options.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to enhance communication, management processes, and systems to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation of 'best practices'.
  • Facilitate the adoption of standardized practices across the division to ensure meaningful commercial and operational data is established.
  • Source specialist subcontractor pricing.
  • Interpret and comprehend client requests and documentation.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary as part of the bidding process.
  • Assist in the preparation of correspondence and documentation.
  • Update the Pipeline Reporting System and contribute to the generation of Business Development Management information reports.
  • Participate in Divisional Bid Meetings.
  • Advance submitted tenders.
  • Support the formulation of tender responses.
  • Establish agreed performance benchmarks.
  • Measure performance against contractual requirements.
  • Identify a wide range of cost-saving initiatives in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Engage with client organizations as needed, providing insightful reports and proactive data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Bid Manager.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent).
  • Preferably experienced in Data Centre projects.
  • Demonstrated management experience.
  • Relevant experience in estimating within a Building Services contractor environment.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
