Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of our digital strategy, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of our digital infrastructure, including the development and maintenance of our electronic patient record system.
- Collaborate with senior clinicians and managers to ensure the successful delivery of our digital transformation programs.
- Develop and manage budgets for digital services, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Identify and develop digital solutions to maximize financial efficiency across the organization.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients. We work collaboratively within the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership, providing acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.
We employ over 6258 staff, including temporary bank staff, and provide services from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital, Ellesmere Port Hospital, and Tarporley War Memorial Hospital. Our services include radiology and pathology systems, shared care records, and collaborative systems across the region.
Requirements- Professional knowledge acquired through degree, supplemented by specialist training to Masters or equivalent level, management qualification or equivalent, experience.
- Management qualification and/or proven experience through practice.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Membership of a professional body (BCS).
- Qualification in Programme and/or Project Management (PRINCE2).
- Professional qualification in IT Service Management.
- Knowledge of digital and data services in the NHS; uses and issues, developments, strategies, and policy.
- In-depth knowledge of current digital and data infrastructures and technologies.
- Significant experience at a senior management level within a digital and data services environment in a large and complex organization, leading large-scale, complex change programs.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of financial, performance, and staff management developed over a significant period.
- Experience of strategy development and liaison at board level.
